Tiger Woods changed his cell phone number 5 times in the last year, this according to one of Tiger's fellow PGA golfers Mark Calcavecchia.
Calcaveccia told Golf.com, "I didn't really think about it, but in the course of last year he changed his number five times." He added, "The last time he did, I said, 'Man, you change phone numbers more than I change underwear.'"
Calcaveccia claims he and Tiger used to text message each other all the time back before the scandal broke -- but he hasn't heard back from Tiger since the infamous car crash.
There was one more interesting point -- Mark told the magazine, "I did know of a girl he was seeing in Phoenix ... But I didn't know the time frame." Mark concluded, "I didn't know if it was before or after he was married that he was with her. I knew it was close. It was 2004 sometime. I didn't think much of it then..."
FYI -- Tiger married Elin Noredegren in 2004 -- but they were engaged since 2003.

Tiger Woods was just forced to pack up his balls and leave the driving range ... our Isleworth spies tell TMZ.
Tiger was practicing his drives for about 20 minutes outside his home, but it started raining and forced him inside.
Tiger was accompanied by two dudes -- including Corey Carroll, the guy he was photographed jogging with last month -- but no sign of Elin Nordegren.

Tiger Woods has finally returned to his home in Isleworth and has been hitting golf balls at a range just miles from his fateful crash in November, this according to a report by the Associated Press.
According to the report -- which cites an anonymous source close to Tiger -- Woods is trying to rebuild a routine for himself that centers around "golf and fitness."
The source also tells the AP that Woods and his family just returned from Arizona -- where they underwent a week of "family counseling."
Tiger has been MIA since his mea culpa in Florida on Feb. 19 -- but as TMZ first reported, sources close to the family believe he will make his return to golf at the Tavistock Cup tournament at the Isleworth Golf & Country Club which begins on March 22.

Tiger Woods has sunk his claws into an animal rights group -- scaring PETA into pulling a series of controversial billboards featuring the golfer's image.
TMZ has learned PETA -- People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals -- is temporarily bagging plans to run the ads, which feature an image of Tiger next to the line "Too much sex can be a bad thing." The ad was intended to promote pet owners to have their pets spayed or neutered.
PETA tells TMZ, "In light of conversations we have had with Mr. Woods' attorneys, plans to run our billboard are on hold at this time."

Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren have issued a letter of apology to the parents at the Florida school where their 2-year-old daughter, Sam, attends day care classes.
In the letter, obtained by WFTV9.com, Woods blames the paparazzi for creating an "inconvenience" around the Premier Academy in Windermere over the past few months.
Here is the letter in its entirety:
Dear Premier Academy parents,
We would like to share our appreciation for your support over the past several months and offer our personal apology for any inconvenience you are experiencing due to the increased media scrutiny surrounding our children. We truly understand how frustrating it can be.

Tiger Woods has returned to his home in Windermere, Fla. -- and his wife Elin Nordegren is there too ... according to an eyewitness.
Tiger arrived home about 45 minutes ago as part of a four-car motorcade. About 40 minutes later, Elin arrived at the house.
We're told security in the gated community has been ramped up with Tiger's own private security.
Security teams are set up outside the house, at the end of the street, and at the lake behind his house.

We just called multiple paparazzi agencies who have camera people on the ground in Orlando, and they are all of the same mind, in spite of what Tiger Woods said: They will absolutely continue photographing Elin Nordegren.
One agency put it this way: "He dug his own grave. It became a huge story because of him."
As for taking pics of the kids, the agencies all said the focus is Elin -- although they say the prize shot is now Elin and Tiger together.

One of the biggest crisis managers in America says Tiger Woods' address was a great 5 minute speech ... problem is it lasted 13 minutes.
Michael Sitrick, who has repped Rush Limbaugh, Paris Hilton and lots of other celebs in crisis, thinks, "There were good points in the speech but you had to wade through so much to pick them out."
Sitrick thought the most effective moment for Tiger was when he hugged his mom, which Sitrick says, "showed a genuine, human side."
Uber-publicist Howard Bragman -- who repped Isaiah Washington during his ordeal -- tells TMZ, "He didn't forget to apologize to anyone. Today was Yom Kippur for Tiger!"

In completely obvious news, Tiger Woods' apology got the Swooshtastic stamp of approval from Nike -- who's already looking for their cash cow to get back on the golf course.
A rep from Nike tells TMZ, "Tiger has apologized and made his position clear. Nike fully supports him and his family. We look forward to him returning to golf."

Michael Jordan will be at the Tiger Woods apology event, his wife Elin Nordegren will not -- this according to Tiger's former Ryder Cup teammate.
PGA great Brad Faxon went on the Dennis and Callahan radio show this morning and said, "I know Michael Jordan's going to be there. I know Elin is not going to be there."
MJ and Tiger are famously close -- Jordan has been described as a mentor to Woods.
Faxon -- who shared a spot with Tiger on the 1997 championship Ryder Cup team added, "I think Tiger really wants some friends there. That's why this thing is really a mystery to me."
We'll see if he's right in about 90 minutes.
UPDATE: Jordan's rep told ESPN that MJ "will not be in the room."

Tiger Woods' nanny took the golfer's daughter to school in Florida this morning -- a sign that Elin could be prepping to attend his media event later today.
In the past few weeks, Elin and the nanny have been switching off on school duty -- but we're thinking it's no coincidence the nanny took over today's responsibilities.
The nanny probably won't be attending the big apology.

Tiger Woods and wife Elin Nordegren just left the family house and drove separately to the home Elin is renting nearby ... witnesses tell TMZ.
As we first reported, Elin came to the family house this AM. Tiger hadn't left the house today until a few minutes ago, when he drove away in a white SUV. Elin followed behind in the red SUV and they drove to the home Elin is renting in the nearby development.
It's yet another piece of evidence that there is some solidarity between Tiger and Elin. This morning Elin was decked out in Nike -- the sponsor that stood behind Tiger.
Who knows ... they could work this out.

A radio station reportedly got a leaked copy of the statement Tiger Woods will deliver tomorrow -- a statement which says "things have not worked out" between Elin Nordegren and him. To us the statement is a total fake, and Tiger's reps reportedly claim it's not the real deal.
Here's part of the alleged statement:
"Directly to the point there is no one to blame but me for the mess I have put my wife and family through. I accept total and complete responsibility. My wife and I have been trying to work things out but sadly things have not worked out."
It goes on:
"We have decided to live apart with me having mutually agreed upon times when I can be with our children."
Why would Tiger get into issues of custody and make his relationship with his wife a focal point? Feels totally fake.
And there's this ... the radio station credited with breaking the story, WYCD in Detroit, claim they had nothing to do with it and "has since taken it down."

Elin Nordegren may not be wearing a wedding ring, but these pictures are the most powerful proof yet she's behind Tiger Woods.
Elin is swooshed out in Nike gear -- the company that stood behind Tiger. It's more than coincidental that Tiger was snapped yesterday with his own Nike accoutrement.
The pic was taken as Elin picked her daughter up from school this AM.

Tiger Woods was just hitting golf balls at the driving range near his house ... sources tell TMZ.
We're told Tiger had a team of security around him as he hit balls. Helicopters started flying over the area and Tiger beat a hasty retreat.
Tiger's kids are at the house with the nanny. Elin Nordegren showed up with her sister earlier in the day.
As we first reported, a Tiger employee told us Tiger would play at Tavistock ... a PGA sponsored tourney in March.
We should know a lot more about Tiger's golf plans -- and the Masters -- on Friday.
