Celebrity Justice
Miley Cyrus: Actress, Pop Star, Defendant

OMG! Hannah Montana is being sued by a fan! The charge facing tween star Miley Cyrus? Failure to make tickets available to upcoming concerts. Oh, what-ever!

Kerry Inman of Pennsville, New Jersey says she paid $29.95 to Cyrus' official website, MileyWorld.com, which promised to make seats available to members before they went on sale to the general public.

The $5 million class action lawsuit filed in Tennessee alleges that Interactive Media Marketing and Smiley Miley, Inc. were "unfair and deceptive" and "created a false impression that tickets would be available."

Clearly, there'll be no backstage passes for her!

UPDATE
: Miley's rep issued the following statement to TMZ: "Among the many benefits of membership, Mileyworld members had an opportunity to purchase pre-sale tickets to the Hannah Montana & Miley Cyrus: Best of Both Worlds concert tour and more than 70,000 Mileyworld members obtained concert tickets as a result of their membership in Mileyworld. The Mileyworld website expressly states that Mileyworld does not guarantee every member a concert ticket. Mileyworld members had far greater access to concert tickets than the general public and other fan clubs and the claim that the vast majority of Mileyworld members were unable to obtain concert tickets is simply false. Mileyworld will vigorously defend itself from the frivolous claims in the lawsuit."

16. The site does state there is NO Guarantee of tickets.
I hit it before 10am and kept refreshing and got tickets but not the best seats. Our arena holds 16,000 and a huge portion sold to fan club!
Absurd lawsuit- nice try for some PR.

17. These people are idiots. I mean its 29.99 and what would make someone think that paying 29.99 is going to guarantee that you get tickets. People are becoming more and more stupid as time goes on. Can I sue everytime I dont get concert tickets??? I think that once these people lose Miley should be able to sue all of them maybe that would keep people from doing this stupid crap. Oh and wy 5 million dollars I mean they paid 29.99 thats it .

20. if any action should be taken it should be against the scalpers that bought all of the tickets and are selling them for an outrageous amount of money.

25. I live in Pennsville and this chick is a complete whack job. I'm embarrassed to even say I live there. The most ridiculous things always happen in New Jersey- George Clooney wrecks, someone sues Miley. What's next??

26. This lawsuit is stupid. Membership to the website does not guarantee you tickets, it guarantees you a chance for tickets.
I paid the money, joined the website and got my tickets.
She wasn't fast enough.

27. I really don't get frivolous lawsuits like this, why would someone sue for five million if the monetary value is only $29.99? Just a cheap way for the law firm filing that suit to get some free publicity.

Mileyworld.com never guaranteed tickets to members as far as I know, just a chance to buy them before the actual public did. They had no way of knowing how many people would actually join the website.

28. Like #7 & #11, I was never promised tickets when I enrolled my daughter in MileyWorld. But I didn't enroll her just for tickets. The presale benefit was an incentive but I'm realistic too when it comes to buying concert tickets. My wrath lies with the fact that at 1000am, only nosebleeds were available. But I got 4 nosebleeds and I am so grateful. I also regret that a hometown (Memphis) lawyer is involved -- so stupid. I'm looking forward to the show -- I love Miley (and Billy Ray!)

29. i didn't think there was anything more embarrassing than getting Hannah Montana tickets. I didn't think anyone would actually sue over them Ladies and Gentlemen we have the Doofus For Life Award Winner.

30. My son loves her and we paid to be members so we could get the pre public sale tickets and announcements early. When we got the dates of presale from the fan club site, there weren't any affordable tickets available. That is all my son talks about, he loves her Music. I feel so bad , I can't afford the outrageous tickets for him. I thought we were supposed to be able to purchase them BEFORE they went out to the Public for sale. I do feel duped by the Miley Cyrus fan club.
